When performing net kills, cock the wrist back and keep it back. Uncocking it forwards takes the racquet head through a large angle, making it difficult to contact the shuttle at exactly the correct time and angle, leading to many errors. Instead, keeping it cocked back keeps the racquet at a much more constant angle, making it easier to aim the shot tightly over the net. Power is obtained from the weight of the body and arm moving forwards and tightening the fingers near impact.
A possible cue would be bingo-stamping with the base of the handle.
